The Central Valley is responsible for feeding the world. Watch the video for a brief look of how California’s drought is impacting farmers. This isn’t an isolated issue; the drought effects everyone.

This is exciting! Fresno Chinatown’s Azteca Theater is celebrating their grand re-opening, this Friday (event details).

Azteca Theatre opened in 1948 and was the first Spanish language theater in the Central Valley. Some of Fresno’s best restaurants are nearby. Stay in the area and go to Full Circle Brewing for locally-brewed beer and mead/wine. Full Circle will have a silent film showing with live piano music, starting 8PM. More info (CORRECTION: Silent Film Showing is Thursday, Sept. 25th. Full Circle will still be open till 11PM on Friday.)

At last weekend’s Clovis Fest.

Last Saturday at the Fresno Highland Games (Scottish festival) at Kearney Park.


It’s that time of the year again. I’ll be out scaring the pants off those brave enough to head out to Hobb’s Grove in Sanger, CA.

Why should you visit Hobb’s Grove? Well, we’re awesome. Terrifying. Scary in original ways … .

Okay, don’t take my word for it. Buzzfeed put us in their 19 Terrifying Haunted Houses You Should Experience Before You Die. And Forbes gave us a mention last year in their 10 Great Haunted Attractions list.
