ArtHop/JazzHop: After Hours

ArtHop & JazzHop run from 5-8PM on the first Thursday of every month. Time goes by too quickly but, luckily, there are a few venues that stay open late:

Peeve’s Public House in downtown Fresno - Art, beer, food (till 9PM), and live music. Closes around 11PM. Map, here.

H St. Arthouse in downtown Fresno - Live music, plenty of art vendors, and a taco truck. Closing time varies. Map, here.

The Landmark in Tower District - Food, drinks, and a jam session with musicians from JazzHop. Closing time varies. Map, here.

As I mentioned in my previous post, there are 50+ ArtHop venues (not including the unofficial venues). It’s hard keeping track of the different art exhibits for each month. The best resource I have found is the Facebook group, Fresno Art-Hop Guide. You can request to be one of the 1,000+ members and get updates on where local artists are exhibiting their art.

For me, the first Thursday of every month is one of the most exciting nights in Tower District and downtown Fresno. It’s ArtHop and JazzHop!

There are about 50 listed ArtHop venues (a more complete venue list, here) and about 10 JazzHop venues! Most of the venues are within walking distance of each other.

I Need ArtHop/JazzHop Suggestions

The first Thursday Evening of the month is ArtHop & JazzHop in the Tower District and downtown Fresno. Please let me know what’s going on and I’ll add it to a list I am posting soon.

Where are the Free, All-Ages Events?

Before I turned 21, it was a hassle trying to find any events for people under 21 and that were free. I can understand why teenagers think there’s nothing to do in Fresno Area.

I’m in the process of writing a list of regular community events that are free and all-ages. Please message me any ideas!

Fresno Swing Dance is changing for the better! Our dance lessons will now be on Thursday Night at Mia Cuppa Cafe in the Tower District. You can enjoy coffee, tea, and other food items while you dance and listen to jazz music. We have restructured the dance lessons to make the dance much easier to learn.
